Baby shower bracelet

One of my co-workers and his wife are expecting identical twin girls pretty much any day now. The folks at work are having a baby shower for their family on Thursday. I picked up two Llama Llama board books at the bookstore tonight and Jeff found some things we'd received for Siobhán that still had tags that we can give them, but I wanted to give the mom-to-be something special too. I couldn't find anything I liked while out shopping, but I did stop in to Joann Fabrics and Crafts. They had quite a few beading items on clearance. I got a three pack of Blue Moon Beads for 89 cents and four silver heart beads for 50 cents. I also got some stretchy beading cord to try and, together with pink beads I had leftover from other projects, made this bracelet. The stretchy cord was a little bit trickier to work with than other things I'm used to...it has the width of dental floss so it wouldn't fit through the eye of my beading needles or some of the beads and when my steel crochet hook missed a chain, the whole thing unraveled quickly. I think it turned out nicely, although one strand was a little too long, which made it difficult to weave in (four strands of chained beads). There are four little silver heart beads for the new babies and their two big sisters at home.
